Terms and Conditions

In these terms and conditions terms the “I” refers to Laura Alexander.

On booking your appointment you will be given confirmation of costs, cancellation policy
and payment details, along with a link to these terms and conditions which you should
read and make sure you are happy with. Along with your payment you will be asked to
give your contact details. This will then form an agreement between you and Laura
Alexander for your therapy.

Therapy

Successful sessions rely on your commitment and motivation. When you agree to partake
in your therapy sessions, you, as the client are considered ‘co-therapist’, which means you
agree to attend your sessions, arrive on time and be fully involved and committed to the
process, which may include ‘homework’ (self-work) if necessary.

You accept that treatment is offered based on the information you supply, which you
represent and warrant to be complete and truthful.

You will have the right to ask questions at any stage as well as express your preferences regarding your treatment plan and timeframe.

You are free to end or withdraw from therapy at any time. The cost of any sessions paid for
in advance but not used will be refunded on request, subject to my cancellation policy.
Refunds will reflect the actual price minus the Square processing fee of 1.4% + 25p for UK
cards or 2.5% + 25p for non-UK cards for online payments, or 2.5% if you used a card to
pay in person.

Client Intake Form

Before a session commences, you will be required to complete a client intake (registration)
form. This information includes (but is not limited to) your name, contact information,
medical and health details, symptoms and previous hypnotherapy experience. All
information must be entered accurately and honestly.

Sessions

Your first session can last up to 1 hour and 50 minutes, allowing for a comprehensive
understanding of your needs, and follow-up sessions last up to 1 hour and 20 minutes.

Please allow yourself enough time for this. If you are running late, please let me know as
soon as possible.  I will do my best to make a full session available, but this often depends

on appointments subsequent to your booking and so cannot be guaranteed. If your
session needs to be curtailed due to your late arrival then the session fee remains payable
in full.

Your session will take place in one of the therapy rooms I operate from (details supplied by
email at the time of booking) or via video call online.

Fees and Payment

Your initial session costs £195 and follow up sessions cost £145. The final cost will depend
on the final number of sessions, which I can advise you on when we meet.

Smoking cessation is a single appointment which is up to two hours and is £345. A single
appointment normally suffices but if you need a second session this is included in the fee and there will be no additional cost.

All payments are due at the time of booking, or at least 24 hours before the session is due
to commence for either online or face to face sessions.

Cancellation Policy

When you book an appointment, you are reserving a time on my calendar that is no longer
available to other clients. I understand that unforeseen events may arise, and if you do
need to cancel, I require a minimum of 1 working days notice.

Therefore, I kindly request that you notify me by email or phone, giving at least 24 hours notice (within working days) before the start time if you are unable to attend a booked session. Wherever possible I will look to offer you an alternative session date and time within 24 working hours of receiving your message.

If you have not given sufficient notice, or fail to attend a session, you will be charged in full
for the cost of the session. Any variation from this policy and gestures of goodwill shall be
agreed on a case by case basis.

In rare cases where I deem that I am not a good fit for you as a client, or vice versa, I will
take swift action to terminate the relationship in the best interests of both parties and
where appropriate and possible will refer you to an alternative therapist and refund future
sessions.

Disclaimer

I will always do my best to help you achieve a successful outcome to your therapy.
However, you accept that an agreement to work on an issue does not mean that a
particular outcome to therapy can be guaranteed. Fees are payable for your sessions and

the time and expertise of the therapist, regardless of the outcome. Although hypnotherapy
has proven results and is evidence-based, cures cannot be guaranteed. Results may differ
from person to person.

Standards of Behaviour

I will use best practice at all times and adhere to the standards of conduct as stated by my
governing bodies.

In return by attending your session you agree to the following standards of behaviour:

  • Be free from drugs and alcohol (except medication prescribed by your doctor).

  • You will not harm yourself or others or any property belonging to me or others

  • Take your therapy seriously

If you demonstrate violent, abusive or anti-social behaviour, I reserve the right to cancel
the session and any future sessions and/or treatment.

protection law including the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and in

openness by public bodies and data privacy for individuals.
